Gouvea’s Brand History
Gouvea’s has a rich history that dates back to 1933 when Jacinto Gouvea first established the company. After Jacinto, the company was passed down through his family, with his son Walter taking over and later Milton Gouvea continuing the legacy with his children. In 2006, family friend Bill Atherton bought the company, but the cherished secret recipe with its distinctive blend of spices has remained a hallmark. Gouvea’s sausages are celebrated not only as a flavorful meal on their own but also as a versatile ingredient in various dishes. Gouvea’s proudly holds the title of Hawaii’s original Portuguese sausage maker!
