Gouvea’s was established in 1933 by Jacinto Gouvea, who passed the company to his son Walter, who in turn passed it on to Milton Gouvea and his children. Family friend Bill Atherton purchased the company in 2006. The family’s secret recipe with its unique blend of spices will tantalize your taste buds and keep you coming back for more! Gouvea’s sausages are great as an ingredient or as a meal itself. Gouvea’s – Hawaii’s original Portuguese sausage maker!

- 1 5 oz Gouveas Portuguese Sausage, sliced
- 2 boxes stuffing mix
- 1 onion chopped
- 1/2 apple, chopped (optional)
- Other Options: celery, chestnuts, carrots
Brown sausage, add onion and cook until limp - drain grease. Add optional items. Follow directions for making stuffing and add sausage mixutre. Bake 30 minutes at 350°
